response to the video

I believe the parents of the children were right to be upset, but not at such extent. Although the math problems were dealing with slaves (which generally refers to African Americans), the school did not mean any harm. In fact the school was trying to help the students learn by putting history- related questions in a math assignment. Just because a sentence mentions a certain race, it does not mean it is bad or inferior. In fact, the questions did not even mention races, but mentioned something that referred to a race instead. By jumping to conclusions and thinking about the wrong things, the parents of the children, who were going to obtain some knowledge from the assignment, made a big fuss about it, as anybody should if their race was being insulted. The questions, however, were only meant to help learn, not diminish a race’s pride and did not mention any races anyway.
